Horse racing has long got the bad rap that the sport is dying.  The truth of the matter though is that horses are running for more money than ever before and more people are betting on races.  The difference is simple — back in the day people used to have to go to the track to make a wager.  Not anymore.  Some states are more lenient than others, but wagers can be placed not only in multiple locations, but online as well.  The end result is thoroughbred racing is alive and well.
