Sportswatchplus, a new website designed to take advantage of the ever changing climate in sports betting and sports news, will launch this weekend. The site, the brainchild of Steve McPherson, will concentrate on sports news with a slant towards handicapping and fantasy sports.
The new website will take a couple of weeks to get rolling, so dummy stories — one paragraph blurbs — are being used as filler to fill the appropriate spaces on the website so the features can be tested live online. The full site, with comprehensive coverage, will be in effect no later than August 25th, just in time for the start of the college football season.
The website is the brainchild of Steve McPherson, a former ESPN talk show host who specialized in college football. McPherson felt like the time was right to launch a more edgy, entertaining handicapping site that balances sports news with sports betting information.
“The recent Supreme Court ruling legalizing sports betting in states will change the landscape of sports news and sports betting forever,” said McPherson. “We are going to be poised to take advantage of all that change.”
McPherson has hosted sports talk shows in Las Vegas, Reno, and Sacramento, as well as having covered college football throughout the West. His credentials include the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Holiday Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, and Foster Farms bowl as well.
“It is going to be a fun project for sure,” says the former ESPN football guy. “I am excited to be a part of it.”
Sportswatchplus will provide free handicapping services for the month of August as the site features are tested by the management team. Feel free to contact Sportswatchplus if you have any questions.
